Honoring Meg Barstow
To all, Meg was full of love, joy and friendship.
Meg was an artist since childhood – photography, sketching, painting. Then, in her 90’s, she re-invigorated and re-visited her life by painting colorful scenes, straight from her heart.
Meg took photos to capture the magic of her life, the blessings of her family, the grace of her friends, and the joys of her travels. By the end of her life, she had assembled dozens of photo books, all well organized and labeled.
Meg and Rob (well, mostly Rob) documented their lives in home movies, from their early dating, growing family, travels, interests and on to their senior years. Some (like Disneyland Dream) have become award-winning classics.
Meg celebrated her 100th birthday – joyously with her family, and with cards, flowers and love from so many people! She died a few weeks later – a wonderfully full life.
Meg wrote her autobiography – of her first 80 years. A remarkable tale, with photos and stories, from her birth in China to her 80th birthday with friends and family in Wethersfield, CT
